Niels Willeboordse

Niels Willeboordse is a Director within Protiviti’s Technology Consulting practice and is responsible for the operational management of the practice in The Netherlands. With more than 20 years of experience in IT audit, technology risk and SAP-enabled transformations, he helps organisations strengthen governance, security and compliance while realising value from complex digital transformation initiatives.

Since rejoining Protiviti in 2018, Niels has played a key role in the growth and development of one of the Netherlands’ leading technology risk and SAP advisory teams. The expertise of his team includes SAP security & GRC, IT risk & compliance, Identity & Access Management, internal controls, IT governance, digital risk management, AI governance and SAP AI powered business control.

In addition to his advisory work, Niels is an experienced Audit Director with a background in both IT audit and operational audit. He serves a broad portfolio of multinational, mid-market and public sector clients, combining deep technical expertise with a pragmatic business perspective to help organisations effectively manage technology risk and transformation.

Prior to his current role, Niels held positions at PwC, AkzoNobel Internal Audit and Deloitte Risk Advisory. He started his professional career after serving in the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps and working in international supply chain and logistics management.
